The Channel 6 Golden Apple Award goes to..... Ms. Deeds!!!!
Ms. Deeds was surprised by Brad Means on November 10, 2011 when he and the camera crew came into her classroom to present her with the Golden Apple Award! Her class was excited to see the ceremony. It will air on the Channel 6 news on December 6th at about 5:50 p.m. If you miss the news that night, it will be on the channel 6 website.

Renaissance Home Connect is here!
Parents will be able to login to Home Connect to see how their child is doing in Accelerated Reading. Login with your child’s AR login and password. The login is their first name, dot, last name. No spaces!
The password is their birthday listed in two digits for month, date, and year. For example, the password for a birthday of June 3, 2001, the password will be 060301. Again, no spaces! If you have trouble logging into Home Connect, feel free to contact Mrs. Gibson by email or phone.

You will be able to see what AR tests your child has taken, a bookshelf of books they have read, and even get email notices when he/she has taken a test.
Encouraging your child to read is the best gift you can give them!
Find an Accelerated Reader quiz number here!
Our new AR program has over 100,000 quizes available. If you have a book at home, look and see if it is an Accelereated Reader. Find the quiz number and jot it down for quick access to your test. Remember, AR quizes can only be taken at school. As long as the title and author match, it does not matter if the book is a personal book or one from the school or public library!
